My Bokeh Term Definitions
Here's the terms I use for describing various Bokeh "looks". As a note, your interpretation of the Bokeh may differ from mine.

Bokeh characteristics from a single lens can look very different depending on many variables and may show more than one of these qualities depending on those variables.

Mysterious Bokeh - will have 2 or more Bokeh types in the same image or may be a look I haven't found a name for as of yet.
Painterly Bokeh - refers to any Bokeh that looks like it may have been hand painted. I use this term loosely. Meyer-Optik Gorlitz TRIOPLAN 100mm f/2.8 Lens
Dreamy Bokeh - fog, haze and smoke like Bokeh. Check out the 2nd image of the Lamborghini images on this page to see Dreamy Bokeh; Nikkor DC-Nikkor 135mm f/2.0D Lens
Buttery Bokeh - just melts away with no detection.
Creamy Bokeh - melts away but is more noticeable than Buttery Bokeh. Soligor 135mm f/2.8 Pre-set Lens
Jellyfish, Bubbly, Donut or UFO Bokeh - the outer ring of out-of-focus highlights becomes brighter. The chain link fence image on this page is a nice example Kilfitt Zoomar 90mm f/2.8 Macro-Kilar
Wavy Bokeh - is most noticeable on a concave/negative or convex/positive field lens, as opposed to a flat field lens. It may also have any of the other Bokeh type characteristics. The last image on this page shows a great example of Wavy Bokeh; Enna Werk Munchen SUPER-LITHAGON 35mm f/2.5 Pre-set Lens
Bubbly Bokeh - looks like bubbles (as the name implies) Similar to UFO Bokeh but less noticeable outer ring on highlights. The bottom image here shows Bubbly Bokeh. Meyer-Optik Gorlitz DOMIPLAN 50mm f/2.8 Lens
Swirly Bokeh - is quite common if your using wide angle lenses or a lens who's image circle does not cover your cameras sensor. It has a lot to do with distortion but when controlled can look great.
Jittery Bokeh - is very noticeable but may be used for effect.
Down-Right-Irritating Bokeh DRI - The Bokeh only a mother could love... or a bokeh enthusiast. You decide this one. It's a personal taste issue.
